About FVTC Senior Computer Users Group

The non-profit Fox Valley Senior Computer Users Group,  provides adults 50+ access to and education about computer technology and software. The individuals in the group range from novice to expert in computer knowledge. One of the primary functions of the  organization is to provide a forum for people with similar interests to meet periodically and share ideas. These forums meet once a month. Check the 'Meetings' tab for the time and location.

 The attendee's live in the Fox Cities and beyond, from Brillion to Hancock, and from Suring to Green Lake. In February 2002, a group was formed in Waushara County. The individuals use their computers in a variety of ways, such as; sending email, financial recordkeeping, accessing the Internet, letter writing, genealogy projects, holiday mailing lists, anniversary and birthday calendars, desktop publishing, etc.

The group meets each month at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton for a program related to computers. Visitors are welcome. A newsletter called 'FVTC Senior Computer Users News' is published on our web site each month with articles pertaining to Group activities, monthly programs, and other items of interest. The group also offers basic computer courses, Introduction to Computers, Windows Operating System, MSWord Processing and the Internet. Occasionally other topics, such as Graphics, Spreadsheet, Internet Auction and Shopping are offered.

Local Appleton sponsors have been Office Technology, Ameritech, Associated Bank, Fox Valley Technical College Foundation and currently Fox Valley Technical College.

General Meetings are held the third Friday of each month at the Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton. Be our guest and attend some of our meetings.
